Saying “Please don’t”

Today is 2017년 7월 3일

In order to say “(please) don’t [blank]” in Korean, you just need to follow this simple formula:

[verb stem] + 지 마(세요)

adding 세요 is what makes it polite, just saying “[verb stem] + 지 마” would be the informal form.

Examples of this:

하지마(세요) = (Please) Don’t do it; the base verb is 한다

가지마(세요) = (Please) Don’t go; the base verb is 가다

오지마(세요) = (Please) Don’t come; the base verb is 오다

And that’s it! Simple! 안녕!
